Tonight, Daniel Bryan formally retired from WWE and most are holding a heavy heart to see one of the best technical wrestlers in the world reach the top of the mountain, only to fall off immediately after and never be able to return to the position he deserved.
Like all great former WWE competitors, they are considered for the WWE Hall of Fame sooner rather than later. In the case of Daniel Bryan, it’ll be a debate because while he is going to be remembered as one of the most popular superstars of all time,
During his WWE career, Daniel Bryan was a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a World Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, Tag Team Champion, a Money in the Bank winner and main evented Wrestlemania 30.
He won everything there was to win, he was a member of the original Nexus, and was the most popular WWE superstar while also being one of the best technical wrestlers on the planet. Bryan also vacated his last two championships and never lost them.
It’s a tragedy that Daniel Bryan has had the last two years of his career stolen from him. It’s even more unfair that he now is forced to retire, but after looking at his accomplishments in WWE, and his role in putting Ring of Honor on the map. It’s not a question of if he deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame. It’s a certainty.
