It’s hard to believe but NXT Takeover: War Games II is coming up in just a few weeks. A lot of fans were shocked to see Johnny Gargano revealed as Aleister Black’s attacker. It’s a given that Black vs. Gargano will take place in Los Angeles. However, NXT officials are planning a lot more than one great match for the event. The entire card will be stacked.
According to a report from RingSideNews, the Staples Center showed off a promotional video for the event and revealed some matches that NXT have yet to announce yet. The Velveteen Dream will challenge Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship. That will be a very interesting match to showcase if Velveteen Dream is ready for the next level.

Also, the second annual War Games Match will feature The War Raiders, Pete Dunne and Ricochet, and all four members of The Undisputed Era. As of this writing, it’s not clear if the NXT Tag Team Championship is on the line or if all championships are on the line. NXT officials are putting a lot of different elements into the War Games Match.
A match for the NXT Women’s Championship will also be on the card, but it’s too early to know if the champion will be Kairi Sane or Shayna Baszler until after Evolution. It’s likely there will be another match or two featuring Keith Lee or Matt Riddle. The odds of them performing on the show depends on how much time is left on the stacked card.
NXT Takeover: War Games is expected to be another great show from the brand. It has been rumored that WWE officials could be looking to take some talent away from NXT to move to Raw in light of Roman Reigns leave of absence. If that’s the case, there might be some bigger angles during the show to reshape the roster and make some changes.
