Over the past four years, WWE officials have worked extremely to present the Women’s Division with a greater spotlight. Through the hard work of the companies performers, the division has been legitimized. The division continues to grow and reach new levels of success and it’s been rumored WWE will bring back the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Nothing has been confirmed since the rumor started circulating, but there’s been some speculation that WWE officials could be planning to reveal the titles at Summerslam or Survivor Series. Unfortunately, a big update from PWInsider Elite has killed the rumor.

Mike Johnson claims that WWE officials are not planning a tag team division for their women at all. There’s been no talk behind the scenes to create the titles for the Women’s Division and the rumor started out of thin air. That news is disappointing, but the WWE Universe shouldn’t be shocked considering how the current tag team division is treated.
It has been reported that WWE officials could cancel the brand extension entirely when SmackDown Live debuts on FOX next year. If that’s the case, it’s far more likely for the company to create the Women’s Tag Team Titles if all the women are part of the same roster again. The rules of the division shouldn’t be as complex as they would be now.

Raw and SmackDown Live are also full of teams and stables in the Women’s Division. It makes sense for the company to have tag team titles for its women eventually, but WWE officials don’t believe it’s the right time. For now, the fans can only wait for them to give the green light.
