Haven’t I seen you before? Wrestling is a weird business as characters come and go, often changing personas in the process. You never know what you might see someone doing just a few months after one character doesn’t work, allowing the talent to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Well, at least that’s how it worked in the old days, as now things are more structured and such changes are rare. However, every now and then you’ll see someone make a return to their old characters and it’s rather entertaining.

These spots are going to surprise you a little bit.

5 times Superstars resurrected old personas: WWE List This

WWE has released a new List This video looking at instances of wrestlers resurrecting old personas for a one off appearance. Since this is all about bringing back older names, almost all of them are from recent years. However, there is one instance from ten years ago. The unique part of this however is that all of the wrestlers are acknowledged as using their older personas and none are treated as separate people.

Opinion: These things are fun but it’s better to leave them as one off ideas. More often than not, these changes took place for a reason. Just let them leave the old ideas in the past for the most part, but remember that it’s ok to bring things out of mothballs every now and then. Nostalgia has a long proven track record and there’s no reason to believe that it wouldn’t work again. Just keep Nick Nemeth the caddie buried deep in the past where he belongs.

Which of these entertained you the most? Who do you want to see make a one off return? Let us know in the comments below.
