Less than a week ago, there was massive speculation that WWE had decided on two major matches for Wrestlemania 32. Those plans were revealed to be John Cena vs. The Undertaker and The Rock vs. Triple H in Dallas this April.
WrestlingObserver.com is now reporting that the goal within WWE is to establish Roman Reigns as WWE’s top superstar going forward at Wrestlemania 32. WWE’s plan for doing that is potentially booking John Cena vs. Roman Reigns at the event.
There is no word on whether or not Reigns will be a face or a heel by that time. If this is the route, WWE is headed for both Cena and Reigns at the biggest show of the year, next week’s “Survivor Series” PPV could be pivotal to building to that Wrestlemania match-up.
However, if WWE ultimately decides to finally have John Cena vs. The Undertaker next April as rumored last week, Reigns would most likely have a rematch from Wrestlemania 31 against Brock Lesnar.
Unfortunately, there is only speculation at this point and whatever WWE decides to do for Wrestlemania 32 won’t begin to take shape until January at the Royal Rumble PPV.
If WWE wants to establish Reigns as the top superstar, a win over John Cena at Wrestlemania could be the best way to accomplish their goal.
