Teddy Long was the General Manager of SmackDown for a long time. In fact, many within the WWE Universe would say he was in that role for too long.
However, the WWE Universe seems quite please to see Teddy Long on Monday Night Raw last week. His return was brief, and Stephanie McMahon eventually ejected him before the end of Raw.
There has been some speculation about Long’s future with WWE programming. Ultimately, the question is if Long is back on a full-time basis, part-time, or if it was simply a one-off appearance to help promote SmackDown’s move to Tuesday nights.
According to RingSideNews.com, Long’s appearance on Monday Night Raw was simply a one-off guest appearance, and there are no creative plans to keep him around.
The most valuable purpose Teddy Long was able to do was fill the void of Shane McMahon’s absence from the show and bring Stephanie’s heel persona just a little bit closer to the surface than it was before.
There is a very obvious betrayal coming from Stephanie as the brand extension gets closer, so we could see her make an example out of more people like she did to Teddy Long on Monday Night Raw.
Do you think Teddy Long should be featured on WWE television more often?
