However, there have been some rumors of WWE’s commitment to ESPN and how much WWE has to pay ESPN to run the weekly coverage.
Today, Sports Illustrated writer Richard Deitsch tweeted out the following:

There you have it. WWE has given no payment to ESPN to have the weekly segments. Although, there is likely some money involved behind the scenes, the ESPN and WWE partnership isn’t only about money.
It was said that ESPN would be given the go-ahead to break major WWE news just as they did with the Seth Rollins’ injury last month. Until the next major scoop, the weekly segment will comprise of a weekly interview and highlights of WWE’s week.
Tuesday’s WWE segment on ESPN featured the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in his first big interview since this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.
Reigns discussed the 2015 Royal Rumble, winning the WWE title on Monday, growing up in a wrestling family, and his daughter’s birthday. You can see the full interview between Jonathan Coachman and Reigns below.
