Former Big TNA Superstars Backstage At NXT Tapings

Earlier today, we reported that WWE was becoming much more aggressive about scouting for talent from other promotions to fill NXT’s roster and build the brand to tour full-time.

WWE’s plan to expand NXT isn’t wasting any time. Tonight, NXT is taping more shows and there are reports of former TNA stars backstage at Full Sail University.

According to PWInsider.com, has confirmed that James Storm is backstage at Full Sail again, but this time he’s brought former TNA star Gunner with him.

After Billy Gunn’s firing last weekend, it’ very likely that Storm is back at NXT to either sign or continue negotiating his deal with WWE. There is no word on Gunner’s purpose backstage at Full Sail.

In more big news, former TNA and Ring of Honor World Champion, Austin Aries was seen arriving to Full Sail University. The following photo was posted by @JIMBO1222 on Twitter:

As you can see, Aries was on his way into Full Sail University with baggage and signed autographs before heading into the arena.

As of this writing, there has been no news of Austin Aries signing with WWE. All there is to report at this moment is Aries is backstage at tonight’s NXT tapings.

Any news on the Storm, Gunner, or Aries situation will be reported on as soon as there is any new information.
