Even the recent news of John Cena, Seth Rollins, and others finally returning to WWE programming is being soured by even more injuries to current WWE performers.
It’s like the injury bug is just being passed around and eventually everyone is going to have a turn. It was just announced earlier today that Emma is the next superstar to go down with an injury, only hers is very serious.
WWE.com is reporting that Emma has suffered a serious back injury. More specifically, his has a ruptured disc that will require surgery, so she is out of action for the foreseeable future.
The following is a statement made on WWE.com about Emma’s injury:
“WWE.com has learned that Emma suffered an injury during a WWE Live Event and will need to undergo surgery in order to correct the problem.
“Emma has a ruptured disc that will require her to have surgery,” explained WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson. “She came to us in a great deal of pain, which seemed to be increasing. She was then given an M.R.I., which revealed that further action would need to be taken. Unfortunately, the Superstar’s estimated recovery time cannot be determined until after her procedure is complete.”
Please check back with WWE.com for more details as they become available.”
