Drew McIntyre being re-signing with WWE and dominating NXT was an excellent feel-good story for anyone who saw something special in him.

A torn bicep put him on the shelf for five months, but he came back with a vengeance after WrestleMania 34 and aligned himself with Dolph Ziggler. He’s done a great job establishing himself as a heel.

The partnership with Ziggler has been interesting, but the WWE Universe is wondering where the duo is going on Raw. It’s now being reported by StillRealtoUs that McIntyre is in line for a huge push after Money in the Bank. It’s possible for him to turn against The Show Off over the coming weeks, which could be used to turn Ziggler back into a face.

Obviously, McIntyre would go over Ziggler and then move onto something bigger. There are many other babyfaces on Raw for him to feud with and he could eventually take the Intercontinental Championship from Seth Rollins. After an IC Title reign, he could face Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, or Brock Lesnar if WWE officials book him properly.

Vince McMahon and Triple H are both extremely high on Drew McIntyre. His ascension to the top of the WWE ladder is only a matter of when not if. On paper, he could have a lot more success with the WWE Championship on SmackDown Live. Matches against AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and others could legitimize him as one of WWE’s top guys.

Since re-debuting on Raw, “The Great American Nightmare” has lived up to his name:

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre take down Titus Worldwide: Raw, April 16, 2018

There’s no question that WWE officials look at Drew McIntyre as a potential top guy for the company, but the immediate question is if the time is right to pull the trigger on him right now. WWE officials could wait until after Summerslam, but the WWE Universe should be paying attention to McIntyre on Raw because something big is coming soon.
