It has to be better than Monday Night Raw. With two episodes of SmackDown Live left to go before Money in the Bank 2018, it’s time to really build up the rest of the card besides the ladder matches. We already have the eight blue show entrants set up so there’s a long list of other matches that could be set up better. If nothing else it would be a change of pace from last night’s show, which isn’t the worst idea in the world.

WWE.com has released its official preview for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. The show will mainly focus on things not related to the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder matches. The major story will see Paige hosting a contract signing for the WWE Championship Last Man Standing match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, in addition to both women’s matches being built up. Here are the stories featured in this week’s preview:

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch to square off

Naomi & Jimmy Uso to face Lana & Aiden English in Mixed Tag Team action

Carmella promises to “unmask” Asuka on SmackDown LIVE

Opinion: Well I’m already more interested than I was for last night’s show. The build to Money in the Bank can be a very rocky path to tread and so far it hasn’t gone so well. Focusing on things other than the ladder matches is the way to go though, as once the participants are set, there really isn’t much else to do before we get to the pay per view. Focus on the regular stories and you’ll get a lot more mileage out of the television you have remaining.
