Last night at “Summerslam,” Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins to become the first WWE Universal Champion for Raw. Unfortunately, it looks as though Balor’s win will only be a temporary victory.
There is no doubt that WWE officials had plans for Balor vs. Rollins to continue and for the former’s title reign to last longer than twenty-four hours, but the following video shows that everything is going to change on Raw:

It has been revealed that Finn Balor suffered a torn labrum, which will force him to get surgery and Balor will miss six months of action. On paper, he’s expected to return to WWE shortly before Wrestlemania 33.
Finn Balor is going to be missed heavily by Raw since Raw’s plans obviously had him at the top of the ladder, but this exposes one of the few weaknesses about WWE’s brand split.
To start Raw, Finn relinquished the WWE Universal Championship, which has opened the doors of opportunity for several WWE superstars to establish the title on Raw instead of Finn Balor.
The entire situation is a mess and just a shame. However, there is going to be a lot of speculation about who will be the next WWE Universal Champion next week.
Who do you think will be the next WWE Universal Champion?
