Shortly after UFC 198, CM Punk was finally announced to be making his UFC debut during UFC 202 this August. It was a long time coming, but it finally seemed like a done deal to see Punk in The Octagon.
This isn’t going to surprise some people, and others will attack Punk without knowing a lot of information, but it seems that UFC has pushed back CM Punk’s debut once again.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, Punk’s UFC debut has been pushed back to UFC 203. It’s only back one show, which could entirely have to do with scheduling and getting things organized.
The report and information is coming for MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, who was suspended from covering UFC briefly a few weeks ago after leaking the Brock Lesnar news early.
Ariel posted the following on Twitter about Punk’s new debut date:

There have been some reports about Punk not adjusting and progressing well as a UFC fighter in the new recently, but at his age, it’s going to be an adjustment, and it’s understandable that he would need this much time.
Of course, that’s not going to help his reputation and a lot of people will say a lot of positive or negative things, but when he does debut, that’s going to be a big fight for UFC, and it’ll make a pretty penny because everyone still wants to see it.
How many fights do you think Punk will have in UFC?
