After suffering a legitimate injury at the hands of Nia Jax, Becky Lynch finds herself in a very interesting position. The Lass Kicker’s momentum is thriving and the image of her bloody face in front of a roaring WWE Universe has her on the verge of something huge with the company. However, everyone is still waiting on Becky’s return to SmackDown.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials still don’t have the return date for the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The company takes concussions as seriously as possible, which leaves Becky Lynch on the sidelines indefinitely. That gives them additional issues heading into TLC if Lynch isn’t cleared over the next few weeks.

For instance, The Lass Kicker hasn’t defended her championship since WWE Evolution back in October. WWE officials can be lenient with the “30 day rule,” but Lynch will be in danger of being “stripped” of the title as soon as next week. With Charlotte Flair on a warpath on SmackDown Live, WWE could strip Lynch of the championship before TLC.

On paper, that wouldn’t be the worst thing. An action like that would only give the fans another reason to defend and support Becky. She’d have the right to say that she never lost the title. That could set her up perfectly for a rematch at the Royal Rumble against Charlotte. Ronda Rousey could also be involved in that match to make it a Triple Threat.

It could be in WWE’s best interest to let Becky heal her injuries and have her healthy for WrestleMania season. The WWE Universe would be irate if she was stripped of the title, and putting it on Charlotte would get her over as a heel. Depending on Becky’s timetable for her injuries, the best course of action could be to leave her off television for a while.

Do you think Becky Lynch should be stripped of the SmackDown Women’s Title?
