Bayley Remaining in NXT Because No One Can Replace Her

There has been a lot of speculation about Bayley’s status in NXT ever since Wrestlemania weekend last month.

The general feeling for Bayley is she’s ready for the main roster and losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Asuka at NXT Takeover: Dallas seemed to be a huge step in that direction.

However, “The Queen of Hug Style” didn’t debut on the main roster after Wrestlemania and there was a recent report that claimed Bayley will remain in NXT for the foreseeable future.

The reasoning wasn’t one hundred percent clear as to why, but now it’s being reported that she is still in NXT because there is no one else to occupy the top face role she holds in the NXT Women’s division.

WWE has called up Emma, Eva Maire, and Dana Brooke most recently because they were heels. It seems that Bayley will remain in NXT until the powers that be can figure out a replacement for her in NXT.

It’s understandable why WWE officials would keep Bayley down in WWE development, but it’s risky because Bayley could potentially lose a lot of her momentum as a face if they wait too long to bring her up.
