During SmackDown 1000 this week, HHH, Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton reunited as Evolution for the show. It was the first time in many years that all four men were in the same ring together, but it was a fun trip down memory lane until Batista made the comment that Triple H has never beaten him. Any wrestling fan can see that’s a seed.
There are numerous rumors surrounding Batista’s comment and a potential rematch between the two former rivals. One report claims WWE is setting up a match between them for the first edition of SmackDown on the FOX Network. Many still believe The Animal vs. The Game will happen at WrestleMania, but WWE might have other plans.

According to a report from RingSideNews, Dave Bautista is expected to be one of the big names inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. With WrestleMania 35 in New York, a lot of people believe Batista is a great fit for the honor. Earlier this week, The Undertaker was reportedly up for an induction too. It doesn’t seem like Bautista would be the headliner.
If WWE officials are planning to have The Animal around for WrestleMania 35, then it’s plausible he may work a match as well. It’s unclear how his commitments to Hollywood will impact his schedule with Avengers 4 having wrapped filming. We’re talking about it but WrestleMania is still 6 months away. Bautista could work a return into his schedule.
Some people will argue that no one can gain anything from The Animal vs. The Game. It can serve as a retirement match for Bautista, but the entire rivalry would have started with him saying Triple H hasn’t defeated him. The point is SmackDown 1000 was a huge tease for their match at some point. When it happens is up to Batista and WWE officials.
