The amount of training it takes to be a WWE superstar is insane to most people, but it’s really about a lifestyle just as much as it is being physically healthy.
It’s always a fun time to see or hear about the day to day activities of a professional wrestler to see how they train and how they maintain their bodies to prepare for the ring.
Very recently, Tapout and WWE took a look at Alberto Del Rio’s training regiment, and he spoke about his routine in a promotional video.
You can see the video below as well as read the transcript of what Del Rio had to say about his regiment:
“I have been doing this my entire life. My first time was when I was eight years old and I have been doing it since then. The way I train is totally different than the way I used to train two, five, ten years ago. I don’t go really crazy with heavy weights. I do a lot of MMA stuff, jujutsu. Of course, you’ve got to be ready to do all the sacrifices and pay the price. Because it’s not easy, it’s not fun. ”
The way you can improve your body is watching what you’re eating. When you do the type of work I do, you have to be in good shape. You have to be training every single day to perform better and to look better for all the fans.”
