1) Great Matches on a Weekly Basis
Obviously, this is the biggest difference because WWE is beyond established. They’re on ESPN now for god’s sake. They’re an American monopoly, but this has also watered them down, so the best matches are consistently on PPV which the fans have to pay for. No blame intended, since that is the business model and it works well.
The problem is if you watch WWE programming on a really regular basis, there is weeks of development just to pay and receive one great match. Sometimes, everything in WWE is hypothetical. In Lucha Underground, you will see multiple good to even great matches every single episode. They’re a far more consistent watch which makes the viewer and it’s fanbase very passionate about the promotion.
It’s what makes Lucha Underground different. Great matches are so consistent, they just give them away. On any episode of Lucha Underground, you’re going to see a new move, performance, luchador, or match that has never been seen before. There isn’t another promotion in the world that can say that and it’s Lucha Underground’s calling card.
