3) Creative Storylines

One of the biggest differences is the fluidity of Lucha Underground’s storylines. Every twist, or development makes more logical sense than a lot of WWE’s stories that don’t have the same emotional pull they use to have. Interference and other twists that WWE uses are exactly the same as LU, but there is a difference in that LU doesn’t make it feel cheap and it always progresses the story in compelling ways you didn’t expect.

A prime example is Son of Havoc and Ivelisse. Those two were a couple, but Havoc consistently lost matches against opponents to which he shouldn’t have lost. So, right before a victory; Havoc blamed Ivelisse, dumped her and then won the match which put him massively over as a face. WWE’s version of that is drama much like the Summer Rae/Rusev situation. To go back even further, like the Triple H/Stephanie McMahon storyline.
