William Regal is the perfect guy to be the NXT General Manager. His work in NXT is fantastic, and he has a great aura tied to that product. As a brand that is predominately watched and loved by “smart” wrestling fans, Regal provides a lot of the character of the show.

The Authority could play the angle that Regal has done such a fantastic job with NXT that he’s being promoted to the Director of Operations. That would not only make sense, but Regal has been the Raw General Manager in the past. He’s got experience, and he’d provide a new face to The Authority and change up that dynamic.
