At the very least, Shane McMahon will be on WWE programming through this year’s Wrestlemania. However, he’s not currently signed to a deal with the company.
While it’s great to have him back as the anti-authority in the McMahon family, the idea of his match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania is he needs to win to gain control of Monday Night Raw. Behind the scenes, he’s going to need a deal with the company.
The rumor going around is Shane McMahon is currently working with WWE without a contract, and he’s set to be paid roughly one-hundred and twenty thousand for his on-screen role appearing on Raw and Wrestlemania, according to the Wrestling Observer.
There is also speculation that Shane is also receiving a bonus payout from Wrestlemania based on the percentage rate of buys.
In the latest report from within WWE, Shane claimed on the Michael Kay Show in New York that we’ll “see how it goes” as far as signing a contract is concerned.
It’s important to remember that the decision for Shane McMahon to win at Wrestlemania is most likely going to coincide with how the backstage negotiations go over the next month.
There are likely to be many more updates on Shane O’Mac’s contract status with the company, but as far as WWE television is concerned, he’ll be back on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
