1. “It’s a Job”
A lot has been said about Brock Lesnar’s WWE status. The peak of the complaints about Lesnar’s limited WWE schedule was during his latest run as WWE Champion. Austin and Lesnar openly discussed Brock’s philosophies about the wrestling business. For Lesnar, “It’s a job.” He clocks in, does his job and then he leaves.
That’s what the a massive majority of people in this world do to make a living, but many wrestling fans are so passionate about pro wrestling that Lesnar’s philosophies about wrestling being “a job” are a slap in the face to people that aren’t even doing it for a living. Imagine how someone in the locker room feels about that.
Lesnar made an intriguing point when he said, “What’s wrong with clocking in, doing your work and leaving?” He’s right. There isn’t anything wrong with working incredibly hard on the clock, earning your money and doing what you want the rest of the time.
Brock Lesnar comes off as a genuine guy who doesn’t bother anybody in the locker room. He’s not trying to politic his way through the business. Brock Lesnar is just a man who enjoys his privacy, grilling, hunting, fixing up cars and when the time comes, doing what no one else in the world can do. No one else can be Brock Lesnar, and there’s not anything wrong with being Brock Lesnar.
