As reported over the weekend, Randy Orton put a stop to the rumors that he would need neck surgery. The Viper not only denied them but ensured that the rumors would stop when he posted the following:
However, it is being said that his shoulder injury is very serious, and the timetable for his return is still not clear and it’s possible that he’ll be missing Wrestlemania.
As of this writing, Orton’s scheduled WWE in-ring return is sometime between the end of March and May. If WWE and Orton end up getting lucky, Orton could sneak into Wrestlemania for a surprise of some kind, or he could appear shortly after Wrestlemania.
The truth is that his return to WWE will be determined on how Orton’s shoulder heals over the next couple of months. Having The Apex Predator for Wrestlemania would be great, but giving him the time to heal and get back for post-Wrestlemania 2016 WWE is what’s best for business. At least, he won’t be missing more time than was originally expected when he needed neck surgery.
