That might take a bit. There are all kinds of injuries that can result in wrestlers sitting on the sidelines and unfortunately there is only so much that can be done to prevent them. Injuries can happen at any time and some of them are rather serious. That seems to have been the case again earlier this week and now we could be waiting a bit for someone to return to the ring.

The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson defeat Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy. During the match, Danielson was hit with an Orange Punch and a Rainmaker, leaving him injured to end the show. This week on Collision, it was announced that Danielson suffered a broken orbital bone and will require surgery, keeping him out of action until later this year. It is not clear if this is a legitimate injury or part of a storyline.
It was a bad moment. Check out the match, plus Danielson at full strength:
Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t a legitimate injury as Danielson has been hurt more than enough over the course of his career. I’m still expecting this to be the setup for Danielson vs. Okada II at Wrestle Kingdom in January, but that does not mean the injury isn’t real. Either way, it will be nice to have Danielson back, as he really is one of the best stars in all of AEW, if not everywhere.
What do you think of Danielson? What should he do when he returns to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
