Again? WWE Star Taking (Another) Break From The Company

Already? There are all kinds of moving parts on the WWE roster as you will see wrestlers going from one part of the company to another on a regular basis. Some of these changes come out of nowhere, with stars occasionally jumping up from NXT to the main roster. This time though, it seems that someone is jumping in the other direction for a bit of a strange moment.

Gable Steveson has made some appearances in NXT over the last few weeks, including training Eddy Thorpe for his NXT Underground match against Damon Kemp. Following the match this week on NXT, Steveson suplexed several other wrestlers, marking the first time he had gotten physical in NXT. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Gable will be taking a break from NXT to return to amateur wrestling. There is no word on when Steveson is expected to return to WWE. Steveson, who signed in 2021, has yet to have his debut match.

Opinion: Steveson is one of the strangest cases I have seen in a very long time as he feels like the most can’t miss prospect in the world but has yet to actually start wrestling. That potential is going to keep him aorund for a long time but it is not going to keep him around forever. At some point he has to get in the ring, and that is not going to happen if he keeps jumping back to amateur wrestling.
