Add it to the schedule? WWE has a lot of content at any give time and that can make for some difficult situations. The company has to find a way to fill in all of that time and sometimes it is a little bit more difficult to come up with something new. There are all kinds of shows that are on the regular WWE calendar, but they do add in a fresh one every now and then. Now we might be seeing another one.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has filed a new trademark for “Sunday Stunner”, which will be a new wrestling show of some kind. It is not clear if the show will be a new pay per view or a regular television show. WWE has not acknowledged the show or promoted it in any way. This comes less than a month after WWE trademarked some former WCW event names for future use.
Opinion: I’m not sure what Sunday Stunner will be for but it wouldn’t shock me to see it as something like a Saudi Arabia show or a new NXT event. Sunday Stunner is not exactly a great or inspiring name, but WWE does not exactly come up with the most eye popping names these days. Hopefully they have something good in mind, because another generic pay per view isn’t going to get much excitement going.
What do you think of the name? How will WWE use the concept? Let us know in the comments below.
