Mystery solved. Over the last few months, the rumors of Rey Mysterio returning to WWE have gotten stronger and stronger, with stories of him signing a two year deal with the company coming out last month. They were just stories though with no actual official announcement from the WWE side. With a major show coming up soon though, the status has changed.
As announced on WWE.com, Mysterio will officially be making his return to WWE on October 16 at SmackDown Live 1000. This will be Mysterio’s first regular appearance for the company since 2014, though he did appear twice earlier this year in both the Royal Rumble and the Greatest Royal Rumble. There is currently no word on what Mysterio will be doing on the show.
Mysterio can certainly go.
Opinion: I’m certainly pleased with this one. He’s one of the best of all time and a name that can still bring in some value in a variety of ways. Mysterio spent a lot of time on the Smackdown roster and it makes sense for him to be around even more. Let us see what he can do with the remainder of his career and hopefully help out some of the other members of the roster.
