It’s a weird side business. WWE is a huge wrestling promotion with its hands in all kinds of different industries. That can make for some interesting situations, as WWE can wind up doing some things that might leave fans wondering what they’re doing. One such thing is their movie studio, and now they are getting to release something else, albeit not in the same place as usual.
WWE has announced that their upcoming film Rumble will be officially released to Paramount+ on Wednesday December 15. The animated film will star Will Arnett, Terry Crews, Tony Danza, Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch among several others and tells the story of a monster who gets into wrestling. The film was originally set to be released in 2020 but was moved back due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The movie does have a nice trailer. Check out a look at the film, plus some other rumbling:
Opinion: It might not be the kind of release that WWE was hoping to have but this is better than nothing. At least the film is actually being released rather than put on a shelf like so many of their recent WWE Network documentaries, so I guess we can call this progress. The trailer at least looks fairly good and there is a talented cast, so maybe this can work out.
What do you think of the trailer? What is the best WWE Studios film? Let us know in the comments below.
