Mark your calendars. WWE runs several may per view events a year and some of them are among the most well known shows on the wrestling schedule. The company has several shows that are longstanding traditions, though sometimes they will move one of them around the schedule a bit in one direction or another. WWE did that last year and now they seem to have made the move permanent.
WWE has announced that Hell In A Cell will be taking place on Sunday June 5 at the Allstate Arena near Chicago, Illinois, marking the show’s first time taking place at the venue. This will be the second year in a row that Hell In A Cell has taken place in June after being held in October for all but one of its previous editions. There are no matches announced for the show.
Opinion: There is something fun about seeing the pay per view calendar being announced as you might get to take in a show that you weren’t expecting. I still don’t care for the idea of having a show like Hell In A Cell taking place at the same time every year, but I could go for getting away from the idea of tying it into Halloween. Odds are this will be the final match in the Wrestlemania rematch cycle, but hopefully WWE has come up with something fresh by then.
