Get your calendars ready. We are on the way to WrestleMania 37 and that means things are going to be a lot more interesting than usual. Above all else, this year is going to be a bit different than usual because the show is taking place over two nights instead of one. That opens up a lot of doors for the show and now we know where some of those doors are heading.
There is something very strange about having the WrestleMania card split into two different nights. You do not see that every year and while WWE does have a bit of experience with the concept, it still makes things weird to have the show split in half. Both nights have to be balanced out in a mostly even way and now we have a better idea of how that is going to work.
During this week’s Monday Night Raw, WWE announced when five of the eight announced WrestleMania 37 matches are going to take place. Here is the schedule that has been announced so far:
Saturday – Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley, Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair, Bad Bunny vs. The Miz
Sunday – Roman Reigns vs. Edge, Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley
That leaves New Day vs. AJ Styles/Omos, Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon and the Fiend vs. Randy Orton as announced matches that have not been assigned to a specific night. It is not clear if all of the matches will be announced in advance, or how many matches the card will have in total.
That is a big card. Check out how we got to some of the matches:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that I sort of like to leave as a surprise. You can guess the main event for both nights without much trouble, but it is kind of fun to have the card as a surprise. It is not hard to figure out what the card is going to be, but figuring out the order for both can be a bit of fun. The show should be fine, but it would be nice to have a bit more drama.
