That’s a good while. We are done with WrestleMania 40 and the biggest story coming out of the show was Cody Rhodes defeating Roman Reigns to become the new WWE Universal Champion. This ends Reigns’ run with the title at around three and a half years, or the longest in over thirty years. Reigns has not been seen since and now we might not be seeing him for a long time.

Before WrestleMania, a report stated that Reigns would be taking time off after the show. A new report from Wrestle Ops by way of Cagesideseats.com states that Reigns is not currently advertised for any WWE Television show until the August 2 SmackDown. There is always the chance that Reigns could appear at an event other than a WWE television show or that he could be added to another shot in the meantime.
You might remember him. Check out Reigns’ time as champion:
Opinion: On one hand, I get the criticism of Reigns leaving again despite not being a regular star, but it does make sense to have Reigns go away. If WWE wants Rhodes to become the top star, there is only so much that he is going to be able to do with Reigns right there at the same time. Reigns can come back with the memory of the loss fading away a bit more and that should make things that much better.
What do you think of the idea? How should Reigns be brought back to WWE TV? Let us know in the comments below.
