Women's Title Match Set for Next Week's "Smackdown Live"

Meet the new talent. Things have changed quite a bit after the Superstar Shakeup with a variety of new talent moving to the opposite shows. One such move was Charlotte, who had dominated the “Monday Night Raw” women’s division, heading over to the blue show. Her first full night on her new home saw some major developments.

This week on “Smackdown Live”, Charlotte defeated Smackdown Women’s Champion Naomi via clean pinfall. The victory earned her a title shot which will take place on next week’s show. Charlotte is looking to win her sixth title on the main roster, after winning the Divas Title once and the Raw Women’s Title a record four times.

Opinion: As annoying as the beating the champion idea is, I don’t think anyone bought the idea that Charlotte was going to stay out of the title picture for that long. There aren’t a lot of options for her to defeat on “Smackdown Live” so it might be better to just throw her into the title scene this way. Odds are the forces of Natalya, Tamina and Carmella will cost her the title shot though, setting up a bit multi-woman match at the next pay per view.
