WWE probably sees it as an upgrade. WrestleMania 35 is going to be historic and not just in the usual way. This year’s show will feature a women’s match main eventing the show with both Women’s Titles on the line. That’s quite the moment and there is a good chance that Becky Lynch will realize her destiny and become the biggest star ever in the division. So what’s after that?
According to Ringsidenews.com, WWE is considering moving Lynch on to a feud with Stephanie McMahon with the match coming at Summerslam. This is a match that the company has been considering for months but they have never pulled the trigger. The match would likely be set up by McMahon costing Lynch the titles, meaning the match would be non-title.
Maybe McMahon isn’t happy about this. Check out their brawl from earlier in the year:
Opinion: I mean…are you really surprised? This is one of those things that WWE would love to do as McMahon is probably viewed as the real star and the reason the Women’s Revolution became a big deal in the first place. I can’t imagine Lynch would actually lose the match, but this is the same McMahon who blocked Ronda Rousey’s armbar in Rousey’s debut match.
