They have a limit. Earlier this year, the Rock returned to WWE and is currently doing more than he has done with the company in years. This includes joining the Bloodline and becoming a villain for the first time since the early 2000s. As a result, fans have been rejecting Rock in a lot of ways, though one of those ways went a bit too far this week, at least according to FOX.

This week’s SmackDown featured the Rock appearing in an in-ring segment with the Bloodline. However, there were several moments during the segment where the broadcast feed froze or cut out. According to PWInsider.com, the edits were due to a fan holding a “DIE ROCKY DIE” sign and the decision to make the cuts was made by FOX. There were no further edits after Rock’s segment.

Opinion: This is one of those things that is a FOX call as they have their own standards and practices so there is only so much that can be done to avoid this kind of an issue. WWE gets quite the benefits from working with FOX but there are also some problems, just like this one. Thankfully it didn’t last long and while it was annoying, there is only so much that can be done about it.
