There’s the next one. WWE is a huge wrestling company and as a result, its major shows are often held on the biggest stages. This includes several shows that are held in huge NFL stadiums to give the show as big of a feel as possible. That can make for some great moments, and now another top WWE event is going to get a chance to make it happen all over again.

As announced by the Detroit News and later confirmed by WWE.com, Summerslam 2023 will be held on Saturday August 5 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Summerslam was previously held in the Detroit area in 1993 but this will be the first time that the event will be held at Ford Field, as well as its third straight year in a stadium. No matches have been officially announced for the event.

Opinion: This is one of those cool announcements that you do not get very often but it still feels important. Just hearing about Summerslam gives the fans something to get excited about, as WWE knows how to build things up like no other. Summerslam feels that much bigger since moving into stadiums like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania and now they are trying it again this year.
