It’s almost night. Finding the right gimmick is one of the most important things a wrestler can do. If someone does not find the correct package, it can turn into a problem in a hurry. You never know what kind of adjustments you need to make, but it can be pretty clear when someone isn’t fitting in just right. That seems to be taking place again, but a WWE star might be making a change.
This week’s SmackDown featured an eight man tag with the Street Profits and Hit Row defeating Los Lotharios and the Maximum Male Models. Following the show, WWE posted a video to its YouTube page, showing Max Dupri giving the team a pep talk. Dupri stopped in the middle though and talked about going through the day before you get to the night and saying “yeah”. This could suggest a return to his LA Knight character, whose catchphrase was YEAH. The Knight character was dropped when Dupri was promoted to the main roster earlier this year.
This could be foreshadowing. Check out the Models’ meeting:
Opinion: If WWE goes through with this change, it would be the best thing that could happen to Dupri. I’m still not sure I understand why WWE had Dupri wrestling as Knight on national TV and then changed him to something completely different just a month later. The Knight role was perfect for him and it would be great to see him doing what worked so well for him all over again.
What do you think of Dupri? Will the possible change help him? Let us know in the comments below.
