IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Update On Bayley’s WWE Status
At WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes failed to defeat Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, continuing Reigns’ two and a half year run with the title. TMZ Sports spoke to WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page, who said that Rhodes will be the one to take the title from Reigns because Rhodes is being pushed by the people to the spot. Page praised Reigns as one of the greatest champions of all time while also saying that Rhodes’ promo abilities were just as good as Rhodes’ father Dusty’s, despite them having very different styles.
It was an interesting chat. Check out Page’s interview, Rhodes in WWE and Page in his day:
Opinion: I could definitely see Cody being the one who takes the title from Reigns as the build has certainly been there. At the same time, the peak of Cody’s time may have come and gone with the WrestleMania loss, but the question now is what happens to Cody going forward. He very well could get the title down the line, though it is the kind of thing that could go in a bunch of different ways.
