WATCH: Austin Theory Has To Deal With An Imitation John Cena In SmackDown Dark Match

Not the real things. There are a variety of stars throughout WWE’s history and some of them have become known for certain things. Certain stars have a few signature spots and moves that are exclusive to them, save for special circumstances. Every so often you will see someone impersonate a star and that was the situation again this week after the cameras went off.

Austin Theory successfully defended the United States Title against John Cena at WrestleMania 39, following a build over several months. Theory faced Dolph Ziggler in a dark match after this week’s SmackDown, which saw Ziggler use a variety of Cena’s moves, including an attempted Attitude Adjustment and You Can’t See Me. Theory went on to win the match.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you get in a dark match as the wrestlers are able to do something a little less serious. If Ziggler did something like this in a television match, it might have fans wondering what was going on with Ziggler, Theory and Cena. Instead, this let the fans have a bit of fun as Ziggler was just mocking Theory. It makes sense, and now we get to see what is next for Theory.
