RKO Outta…..No! The RKO is one of the most iconic wrestling moves in years with Randy Orton having taken down almost everyone at some point or another but it’s not the perfect move. Over the years there have been a lot of impressive looking counters to the move, many of which are worth looking back at.

WWE has released a short video compilation of some of the better counters to the RKO over the years. Since the move has been around for a long time now, there are quite a few options to pick from. Some of these are more modern while others go back quite a few years. Here’s the video:

Opinion: I love the RKO as it’s one of those moves you can hit against anyone regardless of size. At the same time, there are several ways to counter it and a lot of these, such as Shinsuke Nakamura reversing it into a cross armbreaker, look great. It’s one of the most versatile yet simple moves and that’s a rare combination to reach.
