Welcome back? There are so many talented wrestlers on the WWE roster that it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. You can see long stretches of time without certain wrestlers appearing, which can make those appearances that much more special. We saw such an appearance this week, as a WWE star made his first appearance on television in several months.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Double Time: WWE Considering These Ideas For Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 39
Gable Steveson made a surprise appearance this week on SmackDown as part of Kurt Angle’s birthday celebration. Steveson accompanied Angle to the ring to throw milk at Alpha Academy to end the show. Earlier in the night, Stevenson also teased a future match with Braun Strowman, though he did not get physical. Steveson signed with WWE in 2021 but has yet to wrestle a match, only making occasional appearances, including at WrestleMania 38.
Steveson did some things tonight. Check out what he did on the show and in a past appearance:
Opinion: The fact that Steveson hasn’t had a match yet is probably the right idea. Steveson is the kind of a once in a generation talent that WWE is lucky to have. Saving him for the right time is a good idea, as he doesn’t have some kind of terrible setback in his debut that he has to overcome. Wait it out and see what he can do with more time and training. It’s not a bad plan, as this seemed to be more of a “hey remember me?” moment.
What did you think of Steveson’s appearance? Who should he face in his first match? Let us know in the comments below.
