To the other side. Almost every wrestling promotion has all kinds of wrestlers and some of them need to be changed every so often. If someone becomes tired or stale, there are different ways to fix the problem, with one of the most effective being changing someone from good to evil or vice versa. We saw some of that this week, following a major showdown.

This week at AEW Grand Slam, Chris Jericho defeated Sammy Guevara. Following the match, Jericho attempted to show respect to Guevara, who kicked Jericho low instead. This brought out Don Callis, who hugged Guevara, revealing him as the newest member of the Don Callis Family. Callis promised that Guevara would give an explanation for his actions this week on AEW Rampage.

Opinion: This was a surprise moment as Guevara had been by Jericho’s side for a good while now, though that also sells how big of a deal it is for Callis to corrupt Guevara. Jericho’s feud with Callis can now continue and things could get a lot more interesting in a hurry. For now though, they’ll have to settle for a good match and a surprise moment taking place after.
