WATCH: Ronda Rousey Appears At Independent Wrestling Show, Wrestles Impromptu Match

Uh, welcome back! Every so often, an athlete from another sport will come into wrestling and take it by storm. That is the kind of event that can draw a lot of interest, but at some point it has to come to an end. This can come through a variety of different ways, though it might not be the big finale. That seems to be the case again, as a former WWE star made a surprise appearance over the weekend.

Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey left WWE following a loss to Shayna Baszler at Summerslam. However, earlier this week, Rousey made a surprise appearance at a Lucha VaVOOM independent event in Los Angeles, California. Rousey was sitting in the crowd before getting into the ring and teaming with Marina Shafir to defeat Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick in an impromptu match. In addition, Rousey responded to a tweet announcing that Wrestling Revolver is coming to Los Angeles on November 16, saying “how very convenient”.

That came out of nowhere. Check out Rousey getting back in the ring and her time in WWE:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that probably wasn’t expected but it is about as good of a bit of publicity as you can get for the promotion. Rousey is someone who was in a featured match just two months ago at Summerslam and now she’s popping up here. It makes you wonder where else she might show up and if she is wanting to have some fun, there are all kinds of people who would love to have her in.
