He must not be a fan. There have been countless wrestlers over the years and several of them are best remembered for their over the top characters and easy to remember looks. Some of them have become nothing short of iconic over the years and are still remembered decades after they left the ring. You will see fans dressing up as these wrestlers, but now it almost cost one fan his night at WrestleMania.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Uh Oh: Endeavor COO Possibly Suggests That WWE Layoffs Are Coming
In a video on TikTok, a fan named Kevin Hunsperger said that he dressed up as Big Boss Man for WrestleMania 39. Hunsperger wore a blue sheriff’s shirt and and a foam nightstick as part of the costume. A security guard told him that he was impersonating a law officer by wearing the costume and kicked him out on Night Two. The issue stemmed from a Georgia sheriff’s department patch, which Hunsperger revmoved but was told to leave anyway. Hunsperger changed clothes in the parking lot and came back into the stadium for the rest of the show.
It was interesting. Check out the video, plus some of the real Boss Man:
Opinion: This is one of those things that feels like it was something small being turned into something much bigger. It doesn’t help that fans were telling the guard that everything was fine as it was a costume, but apparently that wasn’t good enough. If the story is true, the guard seems to have been trying but ultimately missed the point here, which thankfully didn’t turn into something much bigger.
