That’s rather nice. As you probably know, “Smackdown Live” often runs house shows on Monday nights, opposite the airing of “Monday Night Raw”. What you might not know was that last night was Becky Lynch’s 30th birthday. It turned out that the fans in Hidalgo, Texas knew it and made sure Lynch had a nice surprise.
Last night at the “Smackdown Live” house show, the crowd sang Happy Birthday to Lynch before her Smackdown Women’s Title match against champion Alexa Bliss. Lynch seemed very happy with what the fans did and looked to be touched by it. You can see a video of the serenading below.
These things are always cool. I’ve never been a wrestler or a performer of any kind but the idea that an audience I was performing in front of cared enough to not only know that it was my birthday but also to sing Happy Birthday would be a very cool moment. This was a good thing to see and that’s the cool thing about wrestling fans: as much as they can overreact, they care about the wrestlers and let them know about it.
Do you see Lynch getting the Women’s Title back anytime soon? Who does she feud with after Mickie James? Let us know in the comments below.
