That is some high praise. There are very few wrestlers who have become the face of WWE over the years. During an interview with the Johnny I Pro Show, WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart praised Rey Mysterio, calling him “one of the greatest, maybe the greatest of all time”. Hart went on to say that he wished he could have had a match with Mysterio and called him one of his favorites and a “class act”. He also said that very few wrestlers have the respect that he has for Mysterio.
That is some high praise. Check out the clip, plus both of them in the ring:
Opinion: I’m not sure why I’m surprised by this as Mysterio is absolutely one of the best ever, but hearing Hart praise anyone to this level is rather impressive. Hart vs. Mysterio could be a heck of a match and Hart’s comments have me wondering just how a match between the two of them would have gone. For now though, that is some high praise and Mysterio should be proud.
