It’s a dangerous sport. There are all kinds of injuries that can take place in wrestling and you never know when someone is going to get hurt. At the same time, it can be very difficult to tell the difference between someone feigning an injury and actually being injured. That was the situation this weekend, as a popular star may or may not have been hurt during a match.

The Buy In show for AEW Double Or Nothing featured a six man tag between the Hardys and Hook vs. Ethan Page and the Gunns. During the match, Jeff Hardy climbed the turnbuckles but fell down and stayed on the mat for a few moments. While he continued the match, he was limping during the finish. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, it is possible that Jeff suffered a knee injury, though there is no official word on Jeff’s status. He has not been announced for any upcoming AEW television shows. The match was Jeff’s first traditional match in nearly a year following his arrest last year.

It was a busy night. Check out the match and Jeff’s other time in AEW:

Opinion: This is something that could go in a variety of ways and now all we have to do is wait to see what happens to Jeff. Hopefully everything is ok with him, as it would be terrible to have him out of action again after missing a year due to legal issues. At the end of the day, Jeff is 45 years old and likely does not have a ton of time left in the ring. Missing it due to an injury would be terrible, and now that seems to be a possibility.
