It happens to everyone. Vince McMahon is the undisputed king of professional wrestling. He revolutionized the business and changed everything forever, becoming the most important man in its history. No one is ever going to come close to what he did and he’s been around WWE for over forty years. However, his appearances are becoming fewer and further between and it turns out there’s a reason for that.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason for McMahon not appearing on WWE very much anymore is due to the simple fact that he’s looking older. McMahon is 72 years old and will be turning 73 next month. Due to his age, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have become the faces of the company, including handling the negotiations for the recent television deals.

It means nothing more like this.

Opinion: You knew this day would come eventually but it’s almost hard to imagine. McMahon is synonymous with WWE and it’s going to be a huge change when he’s finally gone. He’s the bigger influence in the history of the company and wrestling in general, which makes for an uncertain future without him. With McMahon stepping back a lot, it seems that day may be coming sooner than expected.
