It’s just something in his eye. Aside from Ric Flair, it’s kind of a rare sight to see wrestlers cry. The sport is considered to be rather masculine and shedding tears doesn’t quite fit with the image. However, when it does happen, it also adds another dimension to either a match or a segment.

WWE has put together a list of ten moments where someone cried either in a segment or after a match. Several of these were during a backstage segment and almost none were during the matches themselves, though they often added another level to whatever was going on. There’s some comedy thrown in as well so check out the video below.

Opinion: It might not be the most intimidating thing in the world but it adds something to a lot of the moments. The crying makes things feel all the more emotional, which goes along with the idea that this is something real instead of a scripted scene. Sometimes it’s rather stupid but when it works, it works quite well.
