Welcome home. It’s pretty rare to have a WWE wrestler to have their entire career come out of the company. While almost everyone has some kind of finalizing and polishing up in NXT, they got their starts somewhere else, which allows them to have a different background as they come into WWE. What’s even better though is getting to see the established stars go back to their roots, which took place over the weekend.
What’s Irish for big monster?
On Sunday, WWE wrestler and Sanity member Killian Dain made a surprise appearance at the Insane Championship Wrestling Fight Club event in Glasgow, Scotland. Dain wrestled for ICW from 2013-2016 under the name Big Damo and won their World Championship in 2016. He signed with WWE later that year and debuted on the main roster earlier this year as part of the Sanity stable. Dain wrestled under his WWE name at the event.
Opinion: It’s always cool to see something like this and there’s really no downside. ICW gets a little boost as they get to show off a big name and a former star from their company while Dain gets to go and wrestle a match for a change as Sanity hasn’t been doing much in recent weeks. It’s a nice little moment and while it’s not going to mean anything, it’s fun for a one off event.
