Is it really a demotion anymore? NXT is a weird place at times. While it’s officially the WWE’s developmental program, a lot of wrestlers would probably prefer to stay down there as things have gone a bit better for wrestlers in NXT than on the main roster. WWE certainly doesn’t seem opposed to the idea of some wrestlers heading back down there and as it turns out, they even have their eyes on some of them.
This could certainly change things up a bit. Check out who WWE might be interested in sending down to NXT:
WWE has released a new video looking at a handful of main roster wrestlers that they would like to see heading down to NXT, whether for a short run or something more permanent. There is no word that any of these moves would be happening, but WWE has made it clear that they would be open to doing something like this. The list includes a mixture of singles wrestlers, tag wrestlers and female wrestlers, some of whom have been in NXT before.
Opinion: This is something that could go one way or the other and I’m not sure how much ground there is in between. These people have been major successes before, but I’d be worried about seeing how much more focus they get than the regular NXT stars. NXT is a place that is designed to push up and coming talent and it would be rather annoying to see it used as a place to store main roster names who don’t have anything else to do.
Would you want to see this happen? Who could use some time down in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
